San Antonio welcomed Hello Tallulah in November 2017.

Before the shop opened, owner Kristina Uriegas-Reyes spent seven years in New York City, writing and working with small businesses though social media. She has a background in retail, specializing in vintage and consignment. A blogger turned entrepreneur, she left NYC to return to her hometown of San Antonio, TX. She decided to follow her ultimate dream of opening this very special boutique.

With countless pop-ups under her belt, Kristina longed for a space she could mold into the ultimate happy place. “I want customers to walk in and feel excited to express themselves though fashion,” she exclaimed. She created the wonderland of whimsy that is Hello Tallulah.

Positioned next to the renowned Woodlawn Theatre, Hello Tallulah has been whole-heartedly embraced by the Deco District. With a retro vibe all its own, the area is primed and ready for a store like this. Kristina’s collection of vintage clothing is highly curated. “I want to make vintage feel special, but accessible,” she said. She specializes in affordable, easy dresses that you can throw on and go. She also creates whimsical retro jewelry that is sparkly and fun.

As a body positivity advocate and a former plus-size model, sizing is at the forefront of her mind, as she curates her collection. “It is important that I carry a variety of sizes,” she said. “Everyone should have the opportunity to feel fabulous in something unique.”

The company name comes from her adorable pup, Tallulah. Sadly Tallulah passed away in October 2018, but the name still evokes the quirky charm of her daily greeting, not to mention the glamour of old Hollywood actress Tallulah Bankhead.

With a retro environment that is enticing and exciting, Kristina invites all to find their next treasure at Hello Tallulah.
